PMLA (Pakistan Medical Laboratory Association

The Pakistan Medical Laboratory Association (PMLA) is a professional forum for pathologists, technologists, and technicians in Pakistan, established in 2014. It organizes seminars, webinars, conferences, and exhibitions with national and international partners to enhance networking and the diagnostic field. PMLA emphasizes the crucial role of laboratory medicine in modern healthcare, focusing on optimizing patient care, harmonizing procedures, and minimizing unnecessary tests. The association acknowledges the evolving nature of laboratory services due to innovation and complex testing and advocates for the development of future laboratory professionals who combine technical expertise with a comprehensive understanding of healthcare needs. PMLA's 10-point manifesto aims to foster this new vision and support the growth of skilled laboratory leaders.

PPMA (Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association)

Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers’ Association came into existence on January 26, 1961, and the Government of Pakistan through the Ministry of Commerce registered PPMA as the only Representative body of the Pharmaceutical Industry in the Country. The Government issued a Licence to this effect under Section 26 of the Companies Act, 1913 on July 18, 1961. The Association was formally incorporated under the Companies Act, of 1913 by the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies

Pakistan Pharmacist Association (PPA)

The Pakistan Pharmacist Association (PPA) is the official body representing approximately 55,000 pharmacists across Pakistan, AJK, and GB, registered under the Societies Registration Act, of 1860. Pharmacists are vital to healthcare, involved in areas like drug research, manufacturing, supply chain, clinical and community pharmacy, academia, and regulation. PPA's objectives include promoting pharmacy, safeguarding pharmacists' rights, advising the government, collaborating internationally, and ensuring quality drug production and patient safety. PPA has a central cabinet and provincial branches, with elections held recently in March 2023. The head office is located in Johar Town, Lahore, with provincial offices being established by respective branches.
